Our Mission

Affordable and workforce housing in Florida, easier to find.

Florida has a growing number of affordable and workforce housing opportunities, but finding them, and understanding eligibility, can be confusing and fragmented. Afford Florida was created to bring that information together in one simple, searchable place.

The Founders

Alex & Max Majzner

Afford Florida was co-founded by brothers Alex and Max Majzner with a simple goal: to make it easier for people to find quality, income-restricted housing across Florida.

They saw that while thousands of affordable and workforce housing opportunities exist throughout the state, finding them, and understanding who may qualify, can be surprisingly difficult. Information is often scattered across individual property websites, government resources, and complicated eligibility guidelines.

They built Afford Florida as a simpler solution: one place where renters can discover participating communities, explore available housing options, and connect directly with properties.

Their goal is to make the search for an affordable place to live simpler, clearer, and more accessible for Florida families.

Our Data & Methodology

Learn more about our data

Afford Florida is built on official, primary-source data. Here is where it comes from:

  • Income and rent limits come from the Florida Housing Finance Corporation 2026 limit schedule (effective 5/1/2026), for all 67 counties.
  • The property inventory is identified through Florida’s affordable and workforce housing data sources, including the 2026 MMM Applicant Units Report and Live Local Act submissions.
  • Advertised rents, floor plans, photos, and amenities are collected from each property’s own website, never estimated or invented.
  • Properties are shown only when we have verified, geocoded street addresses, so the map and the list always agree.
  • Prices above a county’s published program rent caps are treated as market-rate units and excluded from program pricing.

Transparency

Afford Florida is committed to providing broad and fair access to housing information. The manager of Afford Florida LLC is also involved in real estate development in Florida, and affiliated properties may be included on the platform. Affiliated properties are subject to the same listing and presentation standards as other participating properties and do not receive preferential ranking because of affiliation.
